The more books, the more people. We plan to build libraries everywhere need will be. Join us !
Our strong desire is to acquire books of various activities and different areas of the knowledge; then to put them free of charge at the disposal of people seeking the knowledge.
The EFIL World Foundation main project is to build, manage and maintain modern and wide –ranging libraries. This will enable people to have a place to get quick access to any fruitful information they may need. These Efil World Foundation libraries will be a universe of sharing and accession to the brainpower.
In fact, what is healthier than heave oneself in the conquest of worlds through rich, diverse, and accessible books at any time of the day?
The atmosphere and the comfortable environment of our libraries will engender a true convenience for the people; we rely on this asset to encourage them to return there again and always.
There are more than 320,000 libraries worldwide, 73 percent of them in developing and transitioning countries. In many communities, public libraries are the only place where any person, regardless of education or skill level, can have access to information and resources like books, computers and the internet free of charge. Moreover, library staff often provide training and support for first-time internet users as well as those looking to improve their skills – many of whom would otherwise be left behind.
We have noticed that even though most people have access to a library, most of them don’t take advantage of books they are offered to expand their discovery of the world. In addition, some go to the library without any real purpose and therefore do not benefit intellectual profits of the treasure coming from this sanctuary of knowledge.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights Article 26 is the main thread of Education From International Libraries World Foundation (EFIL World Foundation); that is why we have designed and developed relevant ideas on a large construction project of free access libraries in each African country.
Education From International Libraries World Foundation is a global NGO dedicated to making books and educational material accessible to all. Our primary goal is to facilitate access to education to less fortunate people around the world. It is our opinion that a lack of access to books for school children, college students, and adults is impediment for their instruction and their education at large.
"1) Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit.
2) Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace.
3) Parents have a prior right to choose the kind of education that shall be given to their children." Article 26, The Universal Declaration of Human rights
In fact, at the digital stage of development we actually live in, it is inconceivable that a person willing to learn gets limited motion due to physical, pecuniary, socio-political, religious, economic or environmental obstacles. EFIL World Foundation wants to give all peoples in Africa the opportunity to freely access the knowledge. That is why we are working hard to make available for them necessary books & tools.
More and more people heard about the Internet and the new technologies of information and communication; but the cost of materials likely to give it to them is a formidable brake. Majorities of these people swiftly remain in ignorance and continue to live through the yesteryear acquired knowledge which is absolutely obsolete nowadays. Our desire is to put a stop to this state of things; we want to go to these people and give them the right to access current books & technology, through donations, seminars, educational lectures, orientation sessions and conferences on various themes of the universal knowledge.
